Project Studio is a Manchester-based interior design practice founded in early 2022 by Martin Dourish. In a short period of time, the studio has established itself as a leading voice in contemporary interior design, working across Build to Rent (BTR), Private Rented Sector (PRS), Co-Living, Co-Working, Hotels, and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) projects, delivering work across all RIBA stages.

The studio is recognised for its thoughtful, narrative-led approach, grounded in a deep sensitivity to context and place. Each project is shaped by a careful consideration of form, materiality, and proportion, with a focus on creating spaces and objects that are both simple and enduring—well-considered, well-made, and rich in character.

Driven by a genuine passion for design, Project Studio brings energy, care, and precision to every commission. The practice works in a highly personal and hands-on manner, responding closely to client needs and collaborating with a trusted network of partners to ensure each project is beautifully conceived and finely crafted.

In recognition of its design excellence, Project Studio was awarded Design Practice of the Year at the Mixology North Awards 2025, marking a significant milestone in the studio’s continued growth and ambition.
