Project Studio named Design Practice of the Year at Mixology North Awards 2025

Project Studio have been awarded Design Practice of the Year at Mix Awards North 2025. The awards, held at Manchester Central, honour outstanding contributions to commercial interior design and architecture in the North.

The judges commented that: “Project Studio embodies the energy and clarity of a new generation of design practice, commercially astute, narratively rich and deeply connected to place; work that shows maturity, translating context and craft into spaces that feel lived-in and human.”

Managing Director and Founder, Martin Dourish, shared this message following the win:

“Hearing the judges’ words is both humbling and energising. Their words resonate deeply with our fundamental beliefs about what good design should be: contextual, crafted, human, and rooted in narrative. To have that recognised so clearly is a powerful reaffirmation of the values that have guided us from day one.

Winning Design Practice of the Year validates our approach, but more importantly, it reinforces our responsibility to keep evolving. We see this award not as a culmination, but as a catalyst, a reminder that our best work is still ahead of us.
